TECHNICAL PROJECT LEAD, O&DR | META REALITY LABS

Under my guidance and leadership, the Facebook team specified and designed a
new research and development nanofabrication facility for the next generation of
augmented and virtual reality headsets. My approach was to work closely with all
the stakeholders to identify their needs and later translate them into formal design
decisions. My design meetings included researchers, engineers, and architects to
ensure the planned facility met all the present and potential future needs. Budget
requirements and the year-on-year spending allocation to fit the project build
parameters were significant parts of my remit. I specified nanofabrication tooling
and led procurement negotiations with vendors.
In parallel, my team of professionals oversaw safety, procurement, and lab
renovations in more than 25 mixed laboratory spaces.
